Usually when a company tells you it was founded in 1968 its trying to tell you something about longevity and experience but with its peers boasting of 150 years of history, Byworth Boilers is a relative teenager in its field. Like many teenagers, Byworth is driven by a youthful inquisitiveness, embracing new ideas and technologies and never accepts conventional thinking simply because "we’ve always done it like that”.
Byworth were the first to recognise that rising fuel costs were the most significant risk for many steam users and in 2007, after a two year development programme, launched the Yorkshireman2 which, 6 years on, remains the most efficient steam boiler available anywhere in the world. The development was seen as so significant they surprised many by winning 2009 Food Processing Awards Technical Solutions Award.
Byworth Boilers manufactures shell boilers starting at 250 kg/hr steam or 100 kW hot water with the biggest units offering 20,000 kg/hr steam or 12MW of hot water. The company also operates the most modern fleet of boilers for hire and has become a key player in the training of boiler operators and steam users.
